YOGA SEQUENCE FOR HAMSTRING MUSCLES

Level: All Levels

Here is a short sequence designed to stretch out the hamstring muscles.

The hamstrings consist of three separate muscles on the back of the thigh connecting at the knee and running up to the base of the sitting bones.

Hamstrings can become very tight often due to exercise (walking, running, cycling, riding etc).

Throughout this practice keep your knees micro bent and lift up through the thigh muscles to help isolate the hamstring muscle and to protect the weaker area where the muscle connects to the joint. 

All you need is wifi, a corner and a mat if you have one! Grab a strap (or a towel) too. Enjoy x
